Fall has arrived in the Fox Valley and I’ve been decorating the house. Or as Squishy says “You are making it Halloween in here!” I’ve been taking photos as I’ve finished areas, so I thought I would take you on a little fall decor house tour! Let’s start at the front door, shall we?
It’s Scarecrow Fest weekend, so we added a little guy that Squishy named Harvey. We’re waiting for someone to show up on our doorstep worried about the toddler left out in the cold. The pumpkin stack and gourd are from Frank Pumpkin Farm near Atkinson, IL.
I ordered the “Spooky” garland from an Etsy seller about 6 years ago. The Home Sweet Home sign is from Uncommon Handmade I picked it up from them at Renegade Craft Fair in 2012.
I love this little guy! We found him at Paper Trail in Rhinebeck, NY back in 2007.
I just finished the “Eek” garland for the living room 2 days ago. I’m thinking of making similar garlands available soon. I really enjoy making them! Keep an eye on my Instagram feed for news about that.
My mom sent the strip of fabric home with me after our last visit. I frayed the edges and smoothed it out. It took only a few minutes and cost nothing! I had really loved the burlap runners and table cloths that I have seen at Pottery Barn & Crate and Barrel this season. This was much more…umm… budget friendly.
Hopefully you’ll be seeing more of those very soon!
Thanks for coming by! I hope you enjoyed my mini house tour! Have a great weekend! We’re off to enjoy the leaves and Scarecrow Fest!
